Privacy Policy
Effective 24 August 2026 · 6oal.com, 6oal Juniors, 6oal Learn and 6oal DJ
We do not collect your personal information. 6oal has no accounts, no sign-up, no cookies, no analytics, no advertising and no third-party trackers. Once the page has loaded, the app makes no network requests at all — your music, your recordings and your files never leave your device.
The short version
- No account, no email address, no password, no personal details are ever requested.
- No cookies are set. No analytics or tracking scripts of any kind are loaded.
- Your projects, songs, settings and progress are stored only in your own browser.
- Audio files you add to the DJ console are read locally by your browser and are never uploaded.
- Nothing you create is transmitted to us, and we could not see it even if we wanted to.
What is stored, and where
6oal saves your work using your browser's own storage on your device. Nothing is sent to a server. Clearing your browser data for this site erases all of it permanently.
| Where | Name | What it holds |
|---|---|---|
| localStorage | 6oal-studio | Studio preferences — master volume, help/hub dismissal, install prompt. |
| localStorage | 6oal-kids | Juniors stars, sound and voice settings, Kid Lock, key size and the optional grown-up PIN. |
| localStorage | 6oal-learn | Learn progress — lesson stars, song mastery, keyboard preferences and your saved song. |
| localStorage | 6oal-dj-crate, 6oal-set-… | DJ crates and set preferences. |
| IndexedDB | goal-studio | Your saved studio projects — tracks, clips, notes and arrangements. |
| IndexedDB | goal-dj | DJ track metadata: filename, length, detected BPM and key, beat grid, waveform overview and cue points. The audio itself is not stored — only these details. |
Permissions the app may ask for
Microphone — only if you ask for it
The Studio has an optional “Mic loop” button that records a short audio loop, and the DJ console can use microphone access for headphone cueing on some browsers. Your browser will ask for permission first, and you can decline or revoke it at any time in your browser settings. Any audio captured is processed on your device and placed straight into your project. It is never uploaded, stored remotely, or transmitted to us or anyone else. If you never press those buttons, the microphone is never touched.
Your own audio files — read locally, never uploaded
In the DJ console you add music by dragging in files from your device. Your browser decodes them locally so they can be played and analysed. The files are not copied to any server. If you use the “Add & remember” option, your browser stores a permission handle so it can reopen the same file later — that handle stays on your device too.
Spoken instructions in Juniors and Learn
6oal Juniors speaks instructions aloud so that children who cannot yet read can use it, and
Learn has an optional spoken hint. This uses your browser's built-in speech feature
(speechSynthesis). We only ever pass it fixed text from the app itself, such as an
activity name or a word of praise — never anything about you or your child.
One honest caveat: on some operating systems and browsers, the built-in speech engine sends the text it is asked to speak to the device maker's servers to generate the voice. That behaviour belongs to your browser and operating system, not to 6oal, and the only text involved is the app's own wording. You can switch speech off entirely in Juniors under grown-up settings, or in Learn's settings.
Web server logs
6oal.com is served as ordinary static files by our web host. Like effectively every website, the host's servers keep standard request logs, which typically include the IP address making the request, the time, the file requested and the browser's user-agent string. These are generated by the hosting infrastructure, not by the app. We do not use them to build profiles, we do not combine them with anything else, we do not sell or share them, and they contain nothing you make in the app.
Children's privacy
6oal Juniors is designed for children roughly aged three to six, and 6oal Learn is used by children too. This matters, so to be explicit:
- We collect no personal information from anyone, including children. There is nothing to collect — the app has no accounts, no forms, no messaging and no uploads.
- There is no advertising of any kind, and no third-party content, embeds or SDKs.
- There are no social features — no chat, no comments, no sharing with other users, no way for anyone to contact a child through 6oal.
- Stars and progress are just numbers in the browser on that one device.
- Kid Lock is on by default in Juniors: leaving the app requires a grown-up to press and hold for two seconds, or to enter a PIN if one has been set. Please note this is a child-safety convenience, not a security control — it will stop a small child, but anyone technically capable can bypass it.
Because no personal information is ever collected, there is no data about a child for us to retain, disclose or delete. If you want to erase everything on a device, use “Reset stars” in the Juniors grown-up settings, or clear the site data in your browser.
Your choices
- Delete everything: clear site data for 6oal.com in your browser settings.
- Keep your work: use Export → Audio (WAV) or Project file before clearing anything.
- Turn off speech: Juniors grown-up settings, or Learn settings.
- Revoke microphone access: your browser's site permissions.

If this policy changes we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Because we hold no contact details, we have no way to notify you directly — please check back if it matters to you.
