The music you make is yours. Everything you create with 6oal — songs, beats, recordings and exported audio — belongs to you, to keep, perform, release, monetise and license. No royalty is owed to us and no credit is required. 6oal itself is free, provided as-is, and requires no account.

1. Using 6oal

6oal is provided free of charge by Bluefrog, Inc. (“we”, “us”). By using it you agree to these terms. There is no account to create and no fee to pay. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the service at any time. If a child uses 6oal, the adult responsible for them accepts these terms on their behalf.

2. Your music belongs to you

We claim no ownership of and no licence to anything you create with 6oal. We never receive it — your work stays in your browser on your device, as described in our Privacy Policy. You are free to release it commercially, and you owe us nothing.

3. The built-in sounds and loops

Every instrument, one-shot and loop in 6oal is generated by original code written for this app. No commercial recordings, third-party samples or licensed content of any kind are used.

You may use these sounds in your own productions, including commercial releases, with no royalty and no attribution.
You may not redistribute or resell the sound library itself — for example by rendering the one-shots and loops and packaging them as a sample pack, instrument or sound library.

In short: make music with them freely; don't repackage them as a competing sound library.

4. The Classics and Song Library

6oal includes classical works, hymns, spirituals, folk and traditional songs whose compositions are in the public domain, together with the performance data we wrote to represent them. The underlying compositions are free for anyone to use. Our particular note data and arrangements remain our copyright, but the same permission as section 3 applies: use them in your own music freely, and do not repackage them as a competing library.

Public-domain status can differ by country. We have selected works we believe to be public domain in the United States. If you intend to release a recording commercially, it is your responsibility to confirm the position in your own territory.

5. Your own files in the DJ console

6oal DJ mixes audio files you already have on your device. Your browser reads them locally; nothing is uploaded. You are responsible for having the right to use any file you load. Note that streaming services such as Spotify and Apple Music cannot be mixed in a web browser — their audio is protected and is not made available for this kind of use — and 6oal contains no facility for circumventing that.

6. Acceptable use

Do not incorporate material you do not have the right to use, and do not use 6oal to infringe anyone's rights.
Do not attempt to disrupt or misuse the service, or to represent 6oal as your own product.
You are solely responsible for the content of anything you create and publish.

7. Your work is stored only on your device

6oal keeps your projects in your browser's local storage. That means they can be lost — by clearing site data, by private browsing, by browser or device changes, or by storage limits. We provide no backup and cannot recover anything for you. Export anything you care about.

8. No warranty

6oal is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every browser or device.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bluefrog, Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damages, or for any loss of music, projects, data, profits or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of 6oal — including work lost from browser storage. Because 6oal is provided free of charge, our total aggregate liability to you is limited to zero. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

10. Trademarks

6OAL™, 6oal Studio™, 6oal Juniors™, 6oal Learn™, 6oal DJ™, the 6oal logo, “6 Elements. One 6oal.”™, “Six Steps. One 6oal.”™, “From First Beat To Final Mix.”™ and “No Gear. No Limits. Just 6oal.”™ are trademarks of Bluefrog, Inc. and/or its affiliated companies. All other marks are the property of their respective owners. Nothing here grants you a licence to use our marks.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; the effective date at the top of this page will change when we do. Continuing to use 6oal after an update means you accept the revised terms.
